The Apple Doesn't Fall Far From The Tree

So this guy was done with the colorpencil tools in Painter... Mostly all with the Oily ColorPencil because all of the other ones are broken and unusable. I did modify one of the pencils however, which I don't think I was supposed to do (I think my instructor wanted us to use the stock tools to get a feel for the program as a default) but the pencils are just... retarded.

Having the lamp-apple set up right next to me really does help.

This is also my second attempt at the apple with colorpencil (I didn't get very far on the first). And you know, when I walk in and out of my room real fast, and I see this painting out the corner of my eyes, it doesn't look half bad--the other one was that way too. So now I am thinking I should have a gallery showing. One with really narrow hall ways and very dim lighting. Yes. This is a good idea I am having...
